Friday 29 November Marshmallow / spaghetti Challenge

Hello

This week we have been doing a lot of great things, we have had the
science Roadshow and we did this challenge today that we had
to make a sculpture out of this Spaghetti and one marshmallow
on top.

Science Roadshow

On Thursday we had 3 people that came and talked to
us about science. After our first show we got to explore
some of the cool inventions.  They asked for some
volunteers, but sadly I didn't get to be one.
There was this competition That you had to
go to someone and a yellow Sash  and you had to explain
to them how this invention worked and then at the end
they would pick out one of the cards to see who would get a prize.
  

Marshmallow/ Spaghetti challenge. 

Today Friday the 29th of November we did it of this
challenge for our science what we had to do was we got given
20 spaghetti sticks and some string and Sellotape we had
to build a sculpture that was stable and the person with
the tallest sculpture out of the whole school won. 
We got put into groups. I was with Mira Maggie and Julia and I.
All of us that we work together at about 3 not a 5 a 3.

Air Force Museum/ Wednesday 5 November!!!!

Wednesday 5th of November

Hello

yesterday we were at the air force Museum. It was a lot of fun, we went into the
Air Force museum classroom. We also went on a behind the scenes tour.
We got to see really big aeroplanes and we got to jump out of an aeroplane.
That was fun!!!!!

My positive was - That I got to Learn about things that I didn't already know
about and the people that fought for us.

My minus was- That we didn't get to stay as long as I wanted to and we
didn't stay the whole day.

My interesting was-  We learnt about a man who got out of an aeroplane
when it was still in the air on fire. Using his feet, he stopped the fire.

End of term update!!

Friday 27 September 

This term has been a great term there has been lots of things happening.

My Highlights this term are the Cultural festival, Market day, Art and Production.

My Lowlights this term has been has been nothing, it has been a great term.

Lights in the distance is going to be Athletics.

This term has been one of the best terms because we have down a lot of fun and cool things. One of the things that I loved the most is Production. Today we are going on a trip to the wetlands on our bikes.

Production

In the past few weeks we have been working on our production song. 
I am in ''hey ta'' for the class dance. Wee war A red top and black pates. 
I have loved practising for the production and I love doing the production
every two years.  In the production there were scenes 1 to 10.
There was no scene 6

Maori Legends 

The last couple of weeks we have been working on Maori Legends.   And today we are working on an art piece of on one of the photos
of one of the books in the Maori legends.  I like doing this art work
so I haven't done one of my own. Today we're going to be working
on the art piece and trying to finish it. 

Highlight of my week 

The highlight of my week is production and Maori Legends.
  I like the Maori Legends because I learnt a lot of things and
I like the art that we're doing with it.  I like to the production
because when we got to learn a dance and we got to go stage.  

Thoughts on production 

My thoughts on production that they're looking for it was fun and
I think we should do it every year instead of every second year. 
I loved it doing it is a gravy song and I got to do a cartwheel.
I was in the choir so I got to sing all of the songs.

This couple of weeks it's been amazing I have loved them.

Week one to 7 update!!!

Friday 30 August

Hi Everyone,

Market day 

On Friday the 9 of August we had a market day.  I was buddied up with Polly.  Polly and I made $7.00 profit each.  We had to give $35.50 to our Mum's and we gave $14.00 to the school.  Polly and I made 31 piece of cake and 29 cupcakes.  
The plus for me was that I got to do something that I like to do for it!!!!!!
The minus was that we had to wear gloves that were too big for us.    
 The Interesting is that we made more cake than cupcakes.



Production
In the past two weeks we have been practising for our production performance.  I am doing a song called 'Hey TA!'  I am doing some cartwheels in it with Keira.  Our song is really catchy and fun and it has got a lot of movement in it. 
The plus for me is that I get to do cartwheels in it. 
I have no minus.
The Interesting is that we basically got the most catchy song. 

Disco
 A few weeks ago we had our school Disco.  We tock Polly and Aurelia to the Disco.  The Disco we really fun there was lights and music.  I had about two fizzes.  In some of the songs the music was really loud and that this was my first Disco without my brothers.
The plus was that  my brothers weren't there annoy me. 
The minus was that some of the music was to loud at some points. 
There was no Interesting.

Weekly update

Friday 28 June

Hi everyone today I am going to tell you about my week...

Jubilate 
On Monday 24 of June I went to Jubilate.  It was at ST MARY'S Church.  Before the real thing we had a practice then we got into the real thing. It was  a beautiful ceremony.  There was a lot of nice music and everything was just nice. 


Inquiry 
For the past few weeks we have been doing some Inquiry.  I am doing baking with Polly.  We are baking Chocolate cake cupcakes, cheesecake and fudge.  We are now up to getting the recipes.



Welcoming Ceremony
Today Friday the 28 of June we had a welcoming Ceremony to welcome all of the new families in our school.  It was a really nice thing to do every year to welcome the new families.
